Friedrich-Dessauer-Haus

Friedrich-Wilhelm-von-Steuben-Straße 90
60488 Frankfurt am Main

The Friedrich-Dessauer-Haus has dormitory places available for 616 students from Frankfurt universities.

Bauverein Katholische Studentenheime e.V. is responsible for the dormitory. Under the motto “Study – Reside – Live”, Bauverien wants to offer more than just a roof over your head. In addition to promoting commitment and good cooperation, Bauverein aims to promote students socially, religiously, scientifically and culturally.

MORE THAN JUST A ROOM

The FDH is our largest dormitory and there are rooms for 616 students spread over several houses. The FDH offers great opportunities to experience community and make new friends, for example through a variety of activities offered throughout the semester. Here you have the opportunity to settle into an environment that is specifically tailored to your needs as a student.

Apart from the obvious advantage of living with a direct connection to public transport and quick routes to the university and Frankfurt city, the dormitory offers many amenities such as common rooms, an outdoor area with a volleyball court and grill, or a laundry center. Here you will meet an international and diverse population where community and mutual support are very important.

APARTMENTS FOR FAMILIES AND SINGLE PARENTS

Apartments for families and single parents are available in House G of the Friedrich-Dessauer-Haus. The spacious green areas and good neighbors between families help children and parents feel comfortable in the house. The FDH also has a playroom for children aged 12 months and over, which is run by the Sozialpädagogischen Verein. If you are interested, please register early. Kindergartens and the primary school in Hausen are easily accessible.

BEST LOCATION FOR LEARNING AND CONQUERING THE CITY

The FDH is located in the city area with a direct connection to the subway (U6/U7). Local public transport takes you everywhere quickly - both to the university and to the city of Frankfurt. Shops (Rewe and Aldi) are within walking distance and Hausen's outdoor swimming pool is just around the corner, too.
